June 20, 2016 – Florida State Minority Supplier Development Council (FSMSDC) is pleased to announce that Rachael Favors is the the new Certification and Corporate Services Manager for the Northern Florida region. Rachael has over a decade of experience working with the Florida Legislature and has worked in various industries including customer service and housing. She has a BS in Economics with a minor in Business from Florida State University.
Rachael is joining FSMSDC to continue the mission of linking corporations and government agencies with certified Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) to foster business development and expansion in Northern Florida. FSMSDC offers a variety of programs and services to certify, develop and connect minority businesses with opportunities. Her region will extend from Pensacola to Jacksonville, Florida. The office serving northern Florida will be located in Tallahassee. For the first time, minority businesses will have an advocate in the state’s capital.

Florida State Minority Supplier Development Council (FSMSDC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing access and growth for minority businesses in Florida. The organization’s goal is to increase purchasing from minority businesses by government entities and corporations, while increasing MBEs’ operating capacity through hands-on business assistance, training and access to technology and capital resources. Founded in 1975 in southern Florida (formerly named the Southern Florida Minority Supplier Development Council SFMSDC) and expanded to cover all of Florida in January 2016, it is one of 23 regional councils affiliated with the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC). The FSMSDC acts as a liaison between corporate America and Minority Business Enterprises in the state of Florida.
