Host the Second Business Familiarization (FAM) Tour During the 31st Annual Business Expo
Sheds Light on the More Than $24.3 Billion Business Opportunities in Florida
MIAMI – April 26, 2016 – The Florida State Minority Supplier Development Council (FSMSDC) has partnered with Enterprise Florida (EFI) to host a Business Familiarization (FAM) Tour as part of FSMSDC’s 31st Annual Business Expo, which will take place at the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale from April 27-29.
The Annual Business Expo is the FSMSDC’s premier event, which draws business leaders and corporations from across the state and around the country. As part of the program this year, approximately 40 minority entrepreneurs will take part in a special Business FAM aimed at enticing companies to relocate or expand their business in Florida. Participants will get a deeper look into Florida’s business climate, assets, workforce, infrastructure, international trade, and quality of life. They will also learn about the $24.3 Billion in business opportunities, and have a chance to meet face-to-face with Florida’s business leaders and key players.
The Business FAM Tour will feature top Florida companies and government agencies such as: AMD Next, Centurion Cargo, República, Miami-Dade County Water Sewer, Hillsborough County Airport, Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Brickell City Centre, Jackson Memorial Miami, among others.
“We are excited to partner with Enterprise Florida for the first-ever Business FAM Tour. This exclusive event showcases exactly why Florida is a great place for business, especially for minority firms who are at the forefront of many emerging and rapid growth industries,” said Beatrice Louissaint, FSMSDC’s President & CEO.
The 31st Annual Business Expo brings together a cross-section of minority entrepreneurs, large corporations and government agencies in a series of workshops and networking events to create business opportunities and discuss industry trends. The Business Expo is designed to ensure minority businesses at all stages of development are positioned for greater success, and to provide corporations and government agencies with information about supplier diversity.
